A moment of liberation

I remember the moment when I began to study each language I am learning or speaking. There was this moment when Ms. G. walked into the classroom for my first English lesson, and the moment when I opened my first Spanish book and listened to my first Spanish lesson. Language learning is above all an emotional experience for me. It is exciting, at times frustrating, but always interesting. I see myself as a person who is learning languages. That means, it is clear to me that there is always room for improvement, a new idiom to pick up, a new concept to grasp. Studying is another matter. This experience has to do with having a goal, setting out on a journey with a defined schedule, and analyzing everything that has to do with the words, the culture, the people. All study programs end sooner or later, and this may be a moment of happiness, of achievement, of success.
